For over 30 years, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur have expanded their mission through Notre Dame Mission Volunteers (NDMV), fostering leadership, education, and compassionate service. Recently, NDMV staff gathered for in-person training at Mount Notre Dame, connecting with the Sisters’ legacy and strengthening their commitment to serving disenfranchised communities. Led by Executive Director Ted Miles and Sister Kristin Matthes, SNDdeN, the session underscored NDMV’s mission to transform lives through service and partnership with AmeriCorps.
Join us on a spiritual journey through France, following in the footsteps of St. Julie Billiart. From her humble beginnings in Cuvilly to her founding of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Amiens, this trip deepened our understanding of St. Julie’s mission of education, justice, and faith in the goodness of God and people. So much has changed over the years, but NDMV’s commitment to service of communities in need has remained a pillar of the organization. Every year NDMV members commit themselves to a year of service and are transformed by the experience.

Over President's Day Weekend, Notre Dame Mission Volunteers AmeriCorps hosted its 26th annual, but first-ever virtual, Mid-Year Training Conference. Over 300 AmeriCorps members, staff, Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, and presenters logged on for a weekend of reflection, learning, and connecting.
