No matter where you are on your Lenten journey, there is time.
“Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.” James 4:8a
We have a merciful God who is faithful and understands our human condition. He desires a closer relationship with us.
“Repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15b
Every journey begins with one step. Take one tiny step each day. Commit to a new prayer practice. Fast from something you like to do or eat. Reach out to someone in need of comfort, help or a listening ear. Ask the Lord to show you His desires for you.
“We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that,
just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life.” Romans 6:4
This year embrace the transformative power of the Resurrection every day. We can be distracted by so many things. Pay attention! It is in the present moment that we find God. Don’t miss the gift of sunshine on your face, delight in the first bloom of spring. See the miracle in the face of a new born baby or the magnificence of a brilliant sunset.
Submit everything to God, love the people you meet, and give generously in the name of Jesus.
“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Colossians 3:12
He is risen — it changes everything! This Easter, may your heart be filled with joy and amazement as you continue to walk in the ‘newness of life’ every day.
Blessings,
