The Eco-Spirituality of Teilhard de Chardin
The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur warmly invite you to join us for "The Eco-Spirituality of Teilhard de Chardin" presented by author and theologian, Dr. Sue Sack, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Amiens Hall, Mount Notre Dame campus, 701 E. Columbia Avenue in Cincinnati.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, the great 20th-century Jesuit priest, scientist and spiritual writer, placed an understanding of the Eucharist within an ancient, yet reinvigorated cosmological framework. For Teilhard, Eucharist implies sharing in an evolutionary movement toward what he called the “Omega Point.” That movement implies learning to see “the divine milieu,” the presence and activity of God, in the natural world and events of our days. Only together do we become more who we are meant to be.
Teresa Phillips, director of the Office of Peace, Justice, and Care for Creation, will join her and offer additional reflections and insights.
This event is fully booked for in-person attendance, but there’s still an opportunity to join us remotely! Register now to receive the streaming link:
