Live The Good Opportunity Care of Creation Letter Writing

The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur invite you to join our next Live The Good opportunity. In alignment with the Dorothy Stang Initiative and the Sisters’ commitment to reducing the use of plastics, we will be writing letters to several local and national stores asking them to provide eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastic bags. This opportunity will be held at the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

Following the opening prayer, Teresa Phillips, Director of the Office of Justice, Peace and Care of Creation, will present. She will give a brief overview of the reasons the Sisters have chosen to focus on plastic reduction, the realities of plastic recycling, and how we can affect change in our personal spheres of influence as well as advocate for changes in the system.

Along with coffee and doughnuts, all supplies for writing and mailing handwritten letters will be provided. If you prefer to use your laptop, please feel free to bring it. This activity is suitable for children ages 8 and older.
